From the founder
Beyond the postcard, meet the real China.
My childhood followed the water. I was born beside Poyang Lake in Jiangxi and did my primary and middle school in Quanzhou, Fujian — the Minnan dialect still sits on my tongue. Later I returned to Poyang and studied tourism management at Hainan College of Economics and Business. In 2010 I earned my national guide license. I had no idea then how far that piece of paper would take me.
For the sixteen years that followed, I was almost always on the road. I started as a ground guide in Hainan, Tibet and Nha Trang, Vietnam. I spent six years in the Philippines, building a small hotel brick by brick on Panglao Island — and later sold it, for a new road. The last two years were in Japan, walking travelers from around the world through day trips beyond Tokyo. Today I live in Guangzhou. I am a certified national guide and have hosted guests from more than sixty countries and regions.
What I do now is simple: take the roads I have walked in China, Japan and Southeast Asia, write them into journeys that belong to you, and hand them to guides who truly know that land — to walk it with you, step by step.
